A freeware port scanner that supports public and private networks.

Net Scan is a free network scanner that can be configured to scan both slowly or even in fast succession through the settings. It can scan in succession of just 1 millisecond.

The program is, though outdated, perfectly useful today though only supporting IPv4. It can scan entire class B or class C IP networks.

Net Scan is useful on public and private networks, and will check any number of open ports on networks. It can check FTP (port 21), HTTP (80 or 8080), telnet (port 23), SSH (port 22) or any others. It recognizes all standard and common ports.

In the end, Net Scan is a small useful utility that can be used by anybody to scan the status of IP addresses, its open ports and which network protocols it supports.
